Forgotten Italian Sports Cars from the 50’s

Have you even heard of these two 1950’s speed machines.

First up is a 1955 Abarth 207A Boano Spider. Say that 5 times fast. Being one of only 10 ever made, this rare roadster combines futuristic styling with early aerodynamics to create a racer that looks like nothing else. The 207A was more of a shower than a speedster, however, because of its “massive” 1100cc power plant. But even though it only pushes 66HP, this baby is a blast to drive and a sight to behold on the winding roads of Alberta.

Then, get acquainted with another coach-built two seater created by an automotive aftermarket company using a Fiat platform. The 1953 Siata 208S’s design was decades ahead of its time, but again this one looks much faster than it actually is. Being only a 2L engine, you might not expect the 208S to be as sporty as it is, but this unique V8 produces an exhilarating sound that really makes it fun on the open road. Any chance to visit Alberta Canada is worth the trip, but getting to discover both of these fun Italian Sports Cars made it an unforgettable journey.
